چکیده

Fe/Zn oxides promoted with K and Cu selectively produce a-olefins at typical FischerTropsch synthesis conditions (2/1 H2/CO, 1 MPa, and 270°C). The simultaneous presence of K and Cu introduces a synergistic activity enhancement while maintaining the high oletrm selectivity obtained by alkali promotion. Structural and morphological differences in Fe-Zn oxides prepared from ammonium glycolate complexes or precipitated from nitrate solutions have only a small influence on catalytic properties. Catalyst behavior is strongly influenced by synergistic promoter effects (Cu, K) and by the controlled in situ conversion of iron oxide precursors to carbides.

A review of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis on the cobalt based catalysts

Fischer-Tropsch synthesis is a promising route for production of light olefins via CO hydrogenation over transition metals. Co is one of the most active metals for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. Some different variables such as preparation parameters and operational factors can strongly affect the selectivity of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis toward the special products. In the case of preparat...

KCl Promoted Cobalt-iron Nanocatalysts Supported on Silica: Catalytic Performance and Characterization in Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis

The SiO2 supported cobalt-iron nano catalysts were prepared by the sol-gel method. This research investigated the effects of (Co/Fe) wt.%, different Co/Fe ratio at different temperature and loading of KCl wt.% for Fisher-Tropsch synthesis (FTS). The results were showed that the catalyst containing 50 wt.% (Co/Fe)/SiO2 (Co/Fe ratio is 70/30) which promoted with 0.6 wt.% KCl is an optimal nano ca...

Fischer-tropsch catalysts with high activity and selectivity for olefins were produced using mordenite type SiO2/Al2O3= 12, 20, 28, 62 zeolite supported iron carbonyl compounds and were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction. The adsorptionof volatile Fe(CO)5 on the support surface was carried out under vacuum at room temperature. Reduction les...

Effects of the Functionalization of the Ordered Mesoporous Carbon Support Surface on Iron Catalysts for the Fischer–Tropsch Synthesis of Lower Olefins

Ordered mesoporous carbon (CMK-3) with different surface modifications is applied as a support for Fe-based catalysts in the Fischer-Tropsch to olefins synthesis (FTO) with and without sodium and sulfur promoters. Different concentrations of functional groups do not affect the size (3-5 nm) of Fe particles in the fresh catalysts but iron (carbide) supported on N-enriched CMK-3 and a support wit...

Fischer–Tropsch Synthesis with Cu-Co Nanocatalysts Prepared Using Novel Inorganic Precursor Complex

The structural properties and activities of Cu-Co catalysts used in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis are explored according to their method of preparation. Impregnation, co-precipitation, and a novel method of thermal decomposition were applied to an inorganic precursor complex to generate the Cu-promoted alumina- and silica-supported cobalt catalysts. The precursors and the catalysts obtained by ...
